For New Turf, Seeded Lawns or completing a Lawn Renovations – YES this is a great time to get these projects underway. With this lovely warmth in the weather, plus ensuring that water is applied, the new grass will simply love it.
A Lawn Renovation involves spraying to kill broadleaf weeds etc., (but not the good grass). Leave for a couple of weeks for the spray to work it’s magic.
The lawn is then dethatched, (which removes any dead grass present), ready for some fresh seed and fertiliser to be applied. Sowing of a New Lawn involves the spraying of the existing grass or vegetation to kill it.
Remove it off the lawn, before cultivating the soil ready for sowing of fresh grass seed and applying a pre-plant fertiliser.
As there is still plenty of warmth in the soil, this really gives the fresh seed the opportunity to grow strong root and leaf systems, before the cool days of Winter arrives.
We have also been getting a lot of phone calls asking us to do Weed Spray (for plants like, broadleaf, creeping oxalis etc), followed by a fertiliser application, will help to set the lawn up for the coming Winter period.
Give us a call so that you can be included in our Autumn Schedule ASAP, (that way you won’t miss out.)
Ask about our annual Lawn Maintenance Program, which is right for your lawn.
